About Frank Fruscello

My name is Frank Fruscello and I am an artist and designer residing in the Orlando Florida area, originally from Pittsburgh PA.
My credentials include many years in concept art, visual development and construction for theme parks, museums, zoos, family entertainment centers and theatrical presentations. Some of the more notable theme park projects that I have worked on include Labyrinth of the Minotaur at Terra Mitica Park, The Exterminator at Kennywood Park, Nights in White Satin at the now closed Hard Rock Park, the Disney World Anniversary castle icon, two Hong Kong Disneyland floats, the shark facade at Atlantic Beach for Ripley Entertainment, the Simpsons ride at Universal Studios Orlando and various dark ride attractions for Sally Corporation.
I love visual storytelling and believe all great attractions begin with a great story which is told through strong and memorable designs. My ability to quickly illustrate any image that comes to mind is a powerful, artistic communication force, but I believe the best creativity doesn't happen on paper or a computer screen in isolation. To me, creativity is all about collaborating with others. This is when good ideas become great ideas. I've also learned that designs have to be based in logic and science so that they actually can be built and have become quite skilled at doing so. Overall, I find that I thrive when working with other artists, designers, engineers and technicians to achieve a common goal.
During my career I've worked on multiple projects performing in many other different positions, not just as a designer, but also as project manager, fabricator, scenic artist, manager and art director as well as wearing all the various hats that must be worn as the owner of a small themed entertainment company. Performing those many roles has offered me the opportunity to learn and appreciate the many aspects of the business that I am in and has helped me greatly perform as an effective designer.
